One Response to “Refinance without paying a PMI?”

It is NOT required that banks do PMI, but nearly all do. There is one company that doesn’t charge PMI EVER, and that’s CitiCorp Trust Bank. But you must go through a company called Primerica to get approved for a loan. Look in your phone book, find an office in your area and let them know your interested in a SMART Loan. The reason CitiCorp doesn’t charge PMI/MIP is because it protects the COMPANY not the CONSUMER, and they do not believe in it.

I am editing this part and adding in to the comment that Sean L responded to. CitiCorp THEY ARE NOT A SUB-PRIME lender. In fact they NEVER have EVER sold a ARM, Interest only, Balloon, etc… Like every other Mortgage Co./Bank does! They are a company that I have a TON of respect for! When they could of done all of the crap that everyone else did, they stuck to their guns! So Sean, I’m sorry but you have no thought what you are talking about.
